Hello reader(s),

I am now using www.ivoryshipping.com as my online journal (don’t worry, no elephants will be harmed). I find that Blogger has much better anti-spam filters than this WordPress blog, so I am going to try it out for a while and see how it goes. As for this site, I may nix the blog and just turn it into a website for things I want to post/share that may not fit in a blog, such as photo galleries, short stories, lists and whatnot. Anyway, please checkout my new blog/journal.

Sincerely,
Chad

I get multiple emails everyday from this blog even though I barely post in it. I am not sure what to do. I really do want to write, so I am thinking of starting fresh again, but this time with a blog on Blogger. I will keep you posted.

As for the last entry on iTunes U, I have yet to go through any of its content as I have had a fair share of content now given to me at college. However, I would like to spend some time on it this weekend.

I have only just begun looking through what is on offer, so I cannot write on the content quite yet. However, I will share this with you here. It is a guide to start writing fiction which contains audio and written files all for free! I am very excited to dive into this when I get some time and will let you know what I think if I finish it.

Hello all! As I mentioned in my last entry, I want to start writing about what interest me and I have now figured out what to do about that: another site.

No, no, no, I am not abandoning this rarely updated site, but merely creating a friend for it. ChadZahara.com will be about my personal life and work, i.e. my writing, vacations, rants, et cetera. The new site will be about what interests me, namely entertainment wise, so expect many entries on video games and films. I have named that site Every Dirty Pixel in homage to retro arcade games and have begun posting there already (though little actual content yet exists). You can find this new site at www.everydirtypixel.com.

I do not know if I can just blog about what I do in my life and feel good about it. I mean, I have been very active this summer, but I do not see much of it as being worthy to share (unlike the exciting Rachel Cotterill). Do I need to post, “Last night I had some epic bouts of Garou: Mark of the Wolves, or MotW for those in the know, with a few of my pals. Almost broke an analogue stick during one of them, considering buying a tournament arcade stick, blah blah blah…” to feel like I am blogging?

What I think would be most interesting is my thoughts on things. I know that this is a very basic concept for blogging, yet I keep forgetting about it. When I think of blogging, it’s always, “Gee, I have to write about what I have done recently. Wait… who cares about that?” and not, “Man, I’ve been playing this really awesome game, I should tell people why I love it so much!” So, I am going to try reminding myself to just write what comes to mind; to not edit or research as I type, but to just type.

Expect one of these new entries soon.

I have been more busy this summer than I was during the school year. It is ridiculous, especially since I do not even have a job and am suffering from a fortnight’s worth of writer’s block. What have I been doing with my time? A lot of socializing. A lot of gaming. A lot of random reading.

I am enjoying the summer, but also feeling that I am somewhat failing. There is a part of me that demands tangible productivity and can be rather scathing when not satiated. I need to tone that down because, actually, I am being incredibly productive. One of my recent goals has been to become social again and, having hungout with people almost daily, I have achieved that as well as anyone could. Another goal has been to allow myself to just relax; this one is more difficult and is what I should now focus on.

A little more than a week ago, I noticed discolouration on my family’s digital projector. It had appeared on the top and bottom of the image; yellow at the top and blue at the bottom. I did a bit of research and found that this sometimes happens and that it should be covered under warranty.

Seeing as our warranty had not expired, Dad called Epson on Monday using a toll free number found in the box of the projector and then inputting a pin number that came on a card with the warranty. Dad briefly explained what was wrong, hoping that we could send it in to be fixed. Did Epson offer that? No. Instead, they asked for our address and a credit card number and told us that they would immediately ship a replacement projector and for us to return the broken one in the same box for free return shipping. The credit card number is only insurance for them if a projector is not sent back.

Well, the new projector shipped on Monday and arrived on Thursday morning in perfect shape. I am in awe of this customer service. We received a brand new projector, my family didn’t have to pay anything, nor was there any time where we were left without a projector. Thank you, Epson. This is how customer service should be.
